What I'm Doing Currently post 1
I play a lot of RTS games (Real-time Strategy) like Age of Empires, WarCraft (1,2,3), StarCraft 1 and 2, Civilization and so on. Right now I'm working on a WC3 Campaign that's vaguely based off of a band I like's album (DC Fallout's Album Serf's Up). It's a learning process but still a lot of fun. Basically the plot is that a King has a change in Alignment, Like how Macbeth's alignment changed in the play "Macbeth" by William Shakespeare when he murders the King under his wife's instructions and they sort of switch roles, and decides to start attacking Lord's and citizen's due to some false accusation or another. Well one Lord catches wind of it just before he's attacked and decides to flee and re-gather strength. That's when you come in, taking control of The Lord and his meager forces. Well I currently have the beginning cinematic Scene which I need to touch up and a "Get from point a to point B without dying" mission. In the "A-B" mission, which is called "Fleeing Your Lands", The king has set up multiple road blocks and the player either needs to attack the forces at the road block (They are all archers so the Player needs to break enough of the barriers to get his forces through, and every time the Player enters the area near a road block, word is sent to the king and a task force of 10 Footman and 5 archers is sent, which at this time will be a rather risky move) or use the side paths that go around the road blocks and defeat monsters and survive bandit ambushes til he gets to the other side. I haven't decided really what the Lord's Name should be or his adviser (who led the local militia in the city the Lord fled) so if you have any ideas plz comment below I want them to be something meaningful and possibly historic. I also haven't decided if each time the Lord passes a road block if I want to have a cut-scene start showing the King's forces destroying small helpless hamlets all the while getting closer to your position or not but so far this is what I've been dealing with. I did have another map but I decided to introduce a zombie apocalypse element that ultimately destroyed the map and destroyed my interest in keeping it going.
